Occult philosopher -
Contemporary magickian
His first childhood taste of magic was through
Ted Bryant, disciple of Aleister Crowley and friend of Lady
Freida Harris, and he later got to know Gerald Yorke, keeper
of the Crowley archive. By 1970 Ramsey Dukes was a Cambridge
maths scholar teaching at Eton College and with a long standing
interest in magic, alchemy, Crowley, Spare and the occult.
He then began writing and publishing a number of books that
helped define late 20th century magick - notably SSOTBME
and Thundersqueak, seminal texts of contemporary magick, and
Words Made Flesh, defining the information model of magickal
reality.
He performed the Abramelin operation in 1977
and is a senior member of the Caliphate O.T.O., long-time
junior in the IOT and faculty member of Arcanorium College.
